Shameful Submission (Part II)

Mike and I are now members of Sundance Vacations.

We were deviously (ok...very enticing and politely, actually) lured to the Sundance office in KoP. In exchange for us listening to their hour schpeal about their membership program, we were offered a 'free' 6 day/5 night cruise to Bermuda on Royal Caribbean. We figured even an hour of wasted time was worth a chance at getting a cruise.

Long story short. We left with (1) - a free cruise to Bermuda, no airfare needed as cruises leave from NJ, but we do have to pay for taxes and port charges. Oh, and for booze. And (2) a membership to Sundance Vacations.

Contrary to popular belief, the sales people were as polite as can be expected for people working on commission. I never once felt pressured. Every time we said no, they countered with a lower offer. After rejecting their first offer of 30 weeks of vacation for TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS, we agreed to a Pay As You Go plan - $200-400 per week to some really sweet places. I pity the suckers who paid $12K.

The cruise (barring an unforeseen blackout dates) will be set for Sept '08 (Happy Birthday to ME!). And if anyone is planning a vacation in the near future let me know! We can sell our weeks to friend and family!
